How to add or delete a card

Gusto Bill Pay allows you to use any card (subject to card network limitations) to make a payment. You can easily connect your debit or credit card.

This article explains all the ways to connect your card and contains the following sections:

Connect a card when making a payment

Start adding a bill, make a payment for a saved bill, or make a payment without a bill. After that, follow these steps:

1 - When choosing your payment method, select the Card option. 

2 - Choose the option that matches your account status:

  • If you have never added a card: Select the Add card button.
  • If you already have a card saved: Click the dropdown menu on your existing card and select + Add card.

3 - Submit the card details. This is required only when you make your first payment with this card. Your card will be saved for future payments.

Please note:

  • Make sure that you are entering your cardholder's details correctly.
  • Ensure that the details you're entering are the same as on your card.
  • Input your zip code (5 digits, no hyphens).

4 - Select Save once done.

That's it! Your card has been added, and you can continue scheduling the payment. 

Connect a card from your Settings

1- Go to Settings. 

2- Under Payments & billing select Payment methods.

3- Once in the payment methods section, select + Add a card.

4- Add your card details and then select Save and continue.

5- Next, add the details of the cardholder. Then, select Save and continue.

That's it! Your card has been added, and you can use it to start making payments. 

How to delete a card you have added

To delete or remove a card you added in the past, please follow the steps below.

If a card is presently being used for scheduled payments, it cannot be deleted. You will have to manually cancel all scheduled payments for the card before deleting it.

1- Go to Settings. 

2- Under Payments & billing, select Payment methods.

3- Once in the payment methods section, find the card you wish to delete.

4- Select the three dots located to the right of the card.

5- Select Delete from the menu.

6- To confirm the deletion, select Yes, delete. 

That's it! The card will now be deleted and removed from your payment methods.
